4th Degree Grand Larceny

Larry Hicks, 45, of Canandaigua, was arrested and charged with one count of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree following an investigation that he failed ot report to the Ontario County Department of Social Services that his grandson had not resided in his residence for four months, even though he continued to receive temporary assistance benefits for said grandson.  As a result he did collect $1,740.00 in temporary assistance benefits to which he was not entitled.  The defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in the Hopewell Town Court on a later date to answer the charge.
