Grant Ackley was indicted by an Ontario County Grand Jury, accused of (2) counts of offering a. false instrument in the first degree. . Ackley who is designated as a level 3 registered sex offender is required to personally verify his address with the Ontario County Sheriffs office every 90 days. On December 14, 2011, Ackley did personally appear at the Ontario County Jail for his 90 day verification and submit an address verification form that contained false information as to where he was actually living. He indicated he was living at the Woodridge motel when he was actually residing at 120 South Main Street in Canandaigua. On the same date, Ackley also submitted an application for services with the Ontario County Department of Social Services. On this application he indicated he was living at the Woodridge Motel when he was actually living at the South Main Street, Canandaigua address.
On March 28, 2012, Ackley was arraigned in Ontario County Court on this indictment and remanded to the Ontario County without bail. He will reappear at a later date to answer to this charge.
