On 05-03-12, at approximately 10:51pm, located at 21 West Main St. in Shortsville, Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies arrested 34 year Julie Duffy for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree. Allegedly, Sheriffs Deputies received information that a stolen bike was located at Duffy's residence. Deputies then went to Duffy's residence and spoke with her regarding the bike, which was located in the apartment. Duffy denied stealing the bike but admitted to knowing it was stolen and allowing it to remain in her residence. The bike was stolen back in March from a child whose house burned down and the bike was the only item of the child's that was not destroyed. Duffy was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Manchester Town Court on a later date to answer the charges.
