On 5/6/12 at approximately 12:50am, Ontario County Sheriffs along with Cheshire Fire, Canandaigua Ambulance and East Bloomfield Fire and EMS responded to State Route 5&20 in the area of Cooley Rd for a reported 1 car personal injury MVA. Upon arriving Deputies determined Ryan S. Schrneer was operating his 2006 Volkswagon 2 door sedan westbound on State Route 5&20 with Patrick J. Walker as a passenger. Ryan lost control of his vehicle, traveled in a south westerly direction otT the south side of the roadway, struck a telephone pole causing it to break in 3 pieces and then the vehicle overturned. Ryan suffered a head laceration and apparent internal injuries. Ryan was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in the City of Rochester to be treated. Patrick was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital in the City of Canandaigua to receive treatment and was later released. Deputies responded to Strong Memorial Hospital where they then placed Ryan under arrest and charged him with DWI, Failure to Keep Right and Speed Reasonable and Prudent. Deputies issued Ryan traffic citations and he will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
