On 11/17/12 around 9:28pm, OCSO deputies responded to the area of 4965 Route 96, in the Town of Farmington, for a personal injury motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation indicates a 2006 Nissan Semra, being operated by 23-year old Jessica Guzewicz of Manchester, was traveling east on Route 96 when it struck a pedestrian, 32-year old Quincy L. Meeks of Rochester, who was in the roadway. Meeks was transported by Victor-Farmington Ambulance to F. F- Thompson Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:10p.m.. Coroner Kevin Henderson responded to the hospital to perform coroner duties. Route 96 was closed for several hours while the OCSO accident reconstruction team reconstructed the accident. At the present time the cause of the accident is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
