Yates County Deputies responded with Branchport Keuka Fire Department, Penn Yan Ambulance, and Medic 55 to the report of a two car motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Darbys Corners Road and Italy Hill Road. 64-year old Edward Saltsman of Pulteney was operating a vehicle northbound on Darbys Corners Road, when he failed to reduce speed for slippery road conditions and subsequently progressed through the stop sign striking another vehicle being driven in an easterly direction on Italy Hill Road by 62-year old Donald Smith of Geneva. Edward and 64-year old Majorie Saltsman, and Donald Smith sustained no injuries. 48-year old Sharon Smith was treated at the scene for her injuries by Brockport Keuka Park first responders and transported to S&S by PYAVAC with Medic 55 on board. Edward Saltsman was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and will answer the charge at a later date in the Town of Jerusalem Court.
