On 11/30/12 at 4:57pm, a 1999 Pontiac, operated by 21-year old John-Paul Ames of Seneca Castle, rear ended a 2005 Chevrolet suburban operated by 56-year old Linda L. Foster and James R. Foster, both of Newark, was her passenger. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound on State Route 5. Foster stated that she was slowing down for another vehicle that was stopped at SR 5 and White Springs Road when she was rear ended by Ames. Both airbags deployed in Ames' vehicle and he was transported to Geneva General Hospital for a minor contusions on his head and chest and later released. Both Linda and James Foster were transported to Geneva General Hospital. Linda complained of neck and back pain and James suffered leg and hip pain. Both Linda and James were treated and released. All parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Ames was issued a citation for following too closely and he will appear before the Geneva Town Court at a later date. White Springs Rescue and Fingr Lakes Ambuance responded to the scene.
