On Wednesday, January 02, 2013 Brittany A. Pieters and Kristina M Baker both 16 and of Fairport were arrested subsequent to a shoplifting complaint at the JC Penney store at Eastview Mall. Investigation revealed that Ms. Pieters had stolen three pieces of apparel with a total value of $59.00 and Ms, Baker had stolen two items of apparel with a total value of $50.00 from JC Penney.
Further investigation revealed that the co-defendants were also in possession of stolen merchandise from other stores in the mall from the H&M store, it was discovered that Ms. Pieters possessed 4 items with a total value of $48.80 and Ms. Baker possessed 2 items with a total value of $35.90. From the Sephora store, it was discovered that Ms. Pieters possessed 1 item with a value of $59.00 and Ms. Baker possessed 1 item with a value of $14.00. Ms. Pieters was found to be inpossession of one item from Aerie with a value of $10.00 Both defendants were charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree, issued appearance tickets, and released. They will appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
