On 01-02-13, Canandaigua Police, Fire and EMS all responded to a 2 car property damage accident taking place on Eastern Blvd which involved a tractor trailer. Kathleen Wyfells, 54, of Canandaigua was travelling eastbound when she failed to stop in time for a tractor trailer which was stopped in front of her. Wyffels struck the rear of the trailer causing extensive damage to her vehicle. Wyffels was transported to Thompson Hospital where she was treated for aches and pains. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the accident. On 01-04-13 the investigation was concluded with Wyffels being charged with driving while intoxicated, unsafe speed and following to closely. She was issued traffic tickets for city court at a later date.
