Sparks Fly From Rear of Car Causing Fire

On Thursday, February 28, 2013 a vehicle was found to be on fire in the parking lot of the Saddlebrook Estates located in the Town of Farmington. According to Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies, a witness observed sparks and flames emitting from the rear area of a vehicle owned by 36 year old Melissa Milke of Canandaigua. The witness located the owner and notified authorities. The Farmington Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no persons were injured nor were any other items of property damaged as a result. There were no apparent signs of any suspicious activity surrounding the fire and the cause appeared to be electrical in nature.
