Arrest in Property Damage Case Involves Unlicensed Minor Driver

On April 19, 2013 at around 4:17 PM Gigi Annemarie Leno was arrested following an investigation of events surrounding a properly damage motor vehicle accident that took place on 04/14/13 at 74 Granger St in the Town of Hopewell. The defendant was arrested for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after it was discovered that she had allowed her fifteen year old daughter to operate her motor vehicle on a public highway while she and a fourteen year old were passengers in the vehicle. The vehicle was later involved in a property damage accident where the vehicle struck the garage at 74 Granger St while the juvenile was operating it.

It was also determined that the vehicle was not insured at the time of the accident and the defendant was issued a UTT for an uninsured motor vehicle in addition to the permitting unlicensed operation charge she was issued the night of the accident. She was arraigned in the Manchester Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She will appear before Manchester Town Court at a later date.
