Habitat Workshop

A workshop on Thursday, October 25nd from 6:00-8:00PM (registration starts at 5:30PM) at the Hector Fire Hall (5736 Route 414, Hector).It will provide important information to landowners on the wildlife, specifically birds, commonly found in agricultural landscapes, how to encourage wildlife to use their property, and the resources, tools and potential partners available to help families plan for the future of their property. The workshop will be followed by a property walk on Saturday, October 27th from 1:00-3:00PM to tour properties where different kinds of management have resulted in different types of grassland and shrub habitat. Interested individuals can attend one or both for free, but registration is required for both. Participants attending the property walk will meet at the Hector fire hall promptly at1:00PM to carpool to the sites.
