Youth Leadership Conference

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Region VII of New York State Women, Inc., will offer its Youth Leadership program to local high school girls (grades 10 through 12) at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen. The centerpiece of the event is the organization’s “Reality Store” experience, which is a simulation where participants select a career, make life style choices and learn to budget their money to be able to support those choices. At the Conference, presentations will be given on résumé writing, interviewing, appropriate/inappropriate workplace attire, public speaking and social media. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to network with business and professional women. The cost for the program is $60 and includes lunch. Some scholarships are available.
