Viewpoints presentation hosted by the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association: Origins and Impacts of Aquatic Invasive Species iCal

On Wednesday, June 12th, 2013 the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association is sponsoring its second informational presentation in the Viewpoints seminar series related to Canandaigua Lake. Dr. Bruce Gilman, FLCC Professor of Environmental Conservation, will share key information about the origins and impacts of aquatic invasive species, as well as important steps that should be taken to stop the spread of these "aquatic hitchhikers." Joining Bruce will be Kirsten Goranowski, Watercraft Steward Program Assistant from the Finger Lakes Institute, to talk about the success of the Watercraft Steward Program, which worked throughout the Finger Lakes Region to educate boaters about preventing the spread of aquatic invasives. Join us Wednesday, June 12th from 7-8 pm at the Wood Library in Canandaigua, NY.
