Creative Photo Projects Course, presented by Jeff Adams at the Geneva Community Center

If you or a friend want to learn how to create unique photo projects using your favorite digital photos you'll be interested in the upcoming Creative Photo Projects course on 6 Monday mornings April 7 – May 12, 2014 at the Geneva Community Center.

Instructor:  Jeff Adams, Finger Lakes area photographer from Geneva, instructor for basic, advanced, and editing photo courses at the Geneva Community Center.

Dates:  6 Monday mornings April 7 – May 12, 2014

Time:  9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where:  Geneva Community Center, 160 Carter Rd., Geneva, NY

Students will learn how to create photo projects in class, and will apply those skills at home to the specific projects they choose to do (students who want to create actual prints or projects will do so either at home or through a commercial supplier.)

•       Portfolios
•       Making your own photo book
•       Word/alphabet photography
•       Carrying bags, jar labels, trays, stamps, coasters
•       Electronic photo projects (blogs, online portfolios, PowerPoint photo projects, slideshows, iPad photography)
•       and more based on student interest


This course is designed for
Students who understand basic point and shoot or dSLR camera techniques and who have prior photo editing experience and are interested in trying new creative photo projects.

The course is not designed for beginners, and is not appropriate for students without computer skills. This course is not appropriate for students who are uncomfortable navigating through multiple computer files, finding and using computer software or interacting with internet browsers and blogs. Students interested in learning how digital cameras operate or basic shooting and/or editing techniques are advised to take a different course.

Student Requirements
Students must attend the first session.

Students should have at least basic photo editing skills (using any current photo editing software such as Photoshop, Elements, LightRoom, Picasa, GIMP, ACDSee, Paintnet,  iPhoto, etc.)

Students should have current Windows or Mac computer skills.

Students will need access to the internet outside of class for 2 hours per week of homework (a computer for each student will be provided at the Community Center during class.)
