Lake to Lake Quilt Guild’s bi-annual quilt show will feature over 150 quilts by guild members and highlights the quilts of the Guild’s Honorary Members in a special exhibit. Every year an Honorary Member is chosen for her contributions to the guild and her work in preserving and promoting the art of quilting. This year in addition to highlighting the two past honorable members, we will have a special exhibit celebrating all of the past Honorable Members who have contributed so much to our quilt guild. Honorary Members include: 2006 Barbara Shamp, 2007 Karen Clarke, 2008 Florene Sanford, 2009 Carol Oswald, 2010 Elaine Pelton, 2011 Pat Ransom
The Celebrate Earth! Spring into Color Quilt Show features over 150 quilts, textile and fiber art, a gift gallery, merchant booths, door prizes and demonstrations throughout the show, and don’t miss the fantastic Quilter’s Café for a nice lunch and a selection of yummy desserts at a very reasonable price.
The show sponsors two special projects to benefit the Pathway House Hospice in Geneva. The Wee Little Quilt Sale is a collection of artist small quilts for a donation of $10.00 and opportunities ($1.00 each) to win a queen size quilt (84” x 98”), “There are Butterflies in My Garden”, an original design by Lisa Woodworth with sewn by quilt guild members and quilted by Val Schultz that will be given to the winner later this year.
