Gallery Exhibit Changing Weekly in January
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

A new year at the Flick gallery, the Arts Center of Yates County at 127 Main Street, Penn Yan, opens with four favorite regional artists whose work interprets the hills, farms, ravines, and lakes we admire.

From January 2-7, the Flick Gallery will put a spotlight on Barb Doyle’s art: pastel, oils, even jewelry.  Barb has taught classes for The Arts Center, and volunteers as a docent, in addition to showing her work in every exhibit.

From January 9-14, Ileen Kaplan’s art will be in the spotlight at The Flick Gallery.  Ileen creates more with less, each brush stroke masterfully placed.  She says, “In my paintings I try to capture everything about a moment in time: the light, the feeling, the sense of space, the action, the stillness.”

From January 16-2,1 the art of Ginny Deneka will be spotlighted at The Flick Gallery.  She has been drawing and painting all her life and went to college to be an art teacher. More recently she has gone from oil to acrylic-- painting everything from still life to plein air landscapes.

From January 23-28 Eileen O’Reilly’s pastels will be in the spotlight at The Flick Gallery.  She says, “I love to paint outdoors and pastels are the perfect medium for this.”

The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 – 4:00, and Saturdays 10:00 – 3:00.  Besides the exhibits there are upcoming classes and events to check out, and a warm reception for frosty faces coming in to warm themselves.
