A former employee of the Schuyler County Department of Social Services has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of falsifying business records.
Amie Keller admitted to helping a client receive nearly 7-THOUSAND dollars in welfare benefits he was not entitled too. The 35 year old Big Flats woman submitted paperwork resulting in authorized benefits being paid to 40 year old Clifton White of Montour Falls. He was charged with felony welfare fraud.
Keller was sentenced to a 3 year conditional discharge, 5-HUNDRED hours of community service and was ordered to pay full restitution. White faces up to 7 years in prison when sentenced later today.
