Lake Effect Snow Hits Yates County Last Night

Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike had his hands full last night when a heavy blast of lake effect snow created treacherous driving conditions for portions of the county.

Spike says about three inches of snow fell in less than two hours, but it was a slippery road surface underneath the snow that made it especially nasty:

Kevin Williams said the snow was the result of a lake effect band off of Lake Erie
