Second Vote in the Works on Future of Lyons

The village of Lyons is moving ahead with another vote on its own future. The Finger Lakes Times reports a petition in support of saving the village from dissolving is enough for a second vote. More than 600 residents signed a petition in support of protecting the village from becoming extinct. In November 2012, a majority of people voted to move ahead with dissolving the village.

A special Village Board meeting has been scheduled for Thursday evening at 6:30 to decide on a voting date.
