Four Possibilities to be Evaluated for a New Missile Defense Site in US

The Missile Defense Agency has been evaluating different sites for a new missile defense site in the US.  They don't have a final decision on where to start building, but they have narrowed it down to four different potential sites for a thorough Environmental Impact Statement.  Fort Drum in New York was selected along with Camp Ravenna, Ohio; Fort Custer, Michigan; and the Portsmouth Training Area in Maine. The Missile Defense Agency intends to involve the affected communities with public meetings, written comments, and public review of the final documents before making a decision.
