Documentary on Kelvin and Hobbes Cartoonist Playing at The Smith

Bill Watterson

Bill Watterson is the artistic mind behind Calvin and Hobbes.  He has kept his life fairly private over the years, but a new documentary at the Smith highlights his life and his comics.  “Dear Mr. Watterson” is playing today at 2 and 7:30.  Kelly Bradley of the Smith Center of the Arts says the documentary gives insight into different people’s connection with the cartoon.

Bradley says this was one of the biggest draws she has brought to the Smith in some time.  This may be because Kelvin and Hobbes truly captured a generation’s imagination.

For those more interested in this iconic comic than the Super Bowl, the cost is 6 dollars for adults.
