Dundee Man Rejects Another Debit Card Case Plea

A plea offer has once again been rejected by a 48 year old Dundee man accused of making close to four thousand dollars in fraudulent debit card purchases.

This week in Yates County Court, Eduardo Burtes turned down a deal that would have seen him sentenced to a 1-to-3 year prison term for felony fourth-degree grand larceny. A similiar plea offer was rejected in January. Burtes is accused of making close to four thousand dollars in purchases with a debit card after telling his bank the card was lost. The bank reimbursed Burtes. He's currently charged with 3rd degree felony larceny.

Another hearing in the case is scheduled for May 27th.
