Proposed Auburn Budget Closes Million Dollar Deficit

Gap? What gap? Auburn City Manager Doug Selby presented a balanced budget to the city council Thursday night that eliminates a million dollar budget deficit. Comptroller Laura Wills says after crunching all the numbers, they found different ways to close the gap.

The budget proposal for 2014 to 2015 also includes not filling in two vacant spots at the Auburn Police Department. Councilors have until June 30th to make decisions. The new fiscal year begins July 1st.
