Cuomo Sends Group of New Yorkers to Fight Wildfires in Oregon

Governor Andrew Cuomo has sent a 20 person crew of New Yorkers to help with the wildfires in Oregon.  The crew includes State DEC workers, forest rangers, employees and volunteers.  All of whom have gone through the rigorous and extensive training procedures needed for national firefighters.  They will be on location for 14 days.  Cuomo hopes they will provide the needed assistance to get the fires under control while also gaining valuable experience to fight wildfires in New York.
