The Prattsburgh man reported missing last week, which resulted in a large search by authorities, is now in police custody.
The Steuben County Sheriff's Office reported Monday afternoon that 45 year old Todd Casciani was located walking along State Route 53 in Naples by State Police Saturday. When confronted by Troopers, Casciani stated he was "out walking around."
Casciani left his parents home on Cook School Road in Prattsburgh last Monday and never returned. His family called police Thursday. After a limited ground search Thursday, a more extensive search of the immediate area was conducted Friday, which again turned up nothing.
Casciani was convicted of sexually abusing a 9 year old girl in 1999. He was paroled from state prison earlier this year after serving time for attempted grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument. He is now jailed for missing a parole hearing last week.
