$45.1M Makeover Planned For Syracuse Airport

Governor Cuomo delivered the fifth of six regional State of the State addresses in Syracuse this morning. Of interest to people in the Finger Lakes and central New York, a pledge to modernize Hancock International Airport in Syracuse. The redesign includes new flooring and furniture in the terminals, a regional aviation history museum, a glass pedestrian bridge and an eco-friendly roof over the main entrance.

The state will pay 35.8 million dollars. The total cost is estimated at 45.1 million. The Governor says 869 construction jobs will be created. The project would take about 24 months.
