Seward Opposes Cuomo Free Tuition Plan

Cayuga County's state senators are not in favor of Governor Cuomo's proposal for free college tuition. Republican Senator James Seward said on Friday's Finger Lakes Morning News the biggest concern is the cost and how to pay for it.

He added there is a better way to ease the burden of the cost of going to college.

Sen. Seward said Governor Cuomo's proposal highlights the issue of college affordability, particulary among middle class families.  The Auburn Citizen reported today Senators Pam Helming and John DeFrancisco are also opposed to the free tuition plan.
