Jan Nyrop has been connected with the New York Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva one way or another since 1985 when he came on board then as an assistant professor of Entomology. He has now taken on the role of Interim Director. In his first interview with Finger Lakes News Radio he spoke of a management philosophy that includes collaboration and cooperation with faculty and other stake holders.
He wants to build on the stations success as a leader in plant and food science .
He replaces Dr. Susan Brown who is returning to full time research
