The Watkins Glen School District has named Gregory Kelahan as its next superintendent of schools. He will take over as Deputy Superintendent July 1st and will officially become Superintendent in October when Tom Phillips retires.
Kelahan is currently superintendent of the Oriskany school district in Oneida County. Kelahan's background includes teaching, a staff and curriculum development specialist, an elementary principal and district curriculum leader in the Madison and Cazenovia school districts, prior to landing at Oriskany.
Phillips will retire after 11 years as Watkins Superintendent.
