Schuyler, Ithaca, Elmira Share Bike Improvement Funding

Several regional projects will receive a total of more than 7 MILLION dollars to enhance bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in the region. 

State Senator Tom O'Mara announced Schuyler County will receive more than 360-THOUSAND dollars for pedestrian and bicycle improvements.  Also receiving funding is the cities of Ithaca and Elmira, along with the village of North Hornell.


The local projects are among more than 80 statewide sharing 112.2 MILLION dollars in funding, which will help cover up to 80 percent of the cost of each project.  The aid is made available through the Federal Highway Administration and administered by the New York State Department of Transportation.
