Onondaga HS Student Texts Bomb Threat to Stop Trip

NEDROW -- Seventeen-year-old Antheny Bush of Nedrow, a student at Onondaga Central High School, was arrested yesterday. Police say Bush called in a threat -- saying there was a bomb on the bus that was taking students to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

The teenager has been charged with falsely reporting an incident, a felony.  Bush was not on the bus; police say he texted another student -- who was traveling to Cooperstown -- that there was a bomb. The bus immediately pulled over, and State Police soon began a search.

The kids still got to see the Hall of Fame, however -- school officials in Cooperstown sending a bus to pick them up.
