It's a crusade. The Ontario County Sheriff's office and it's community partners will have six prescription drug "take back" events this year. The first one is Saturday the 28th at the Wegmans in Canandaigua from 9 to 1. Sheriff Phil Povero says you just turn over un-used and expired pills and medicines and go on your way.
Terry Whitt is the project director for the local Drug Free Community Program . She says expired and/or un-used drugs have to be disposed of properly.
There will be events in Naples, Clifton Springs, Phelps, Geneva and Victor later in the year.
