CAYUGA COUNTY -- Auburn, and the surrounding towns that use water and sewer, have formed a regional sewer and water authority. But Andrew Fish, executive director of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, says it's taken too long to finalize how the authority will be structured -- and those delays have consequences.
Cayuga Ingrediants, which wants to build a $78 million milk processing plant in Aurelius, it still in talks about getting better sewer and water rates from the city, with town of Aurelius officials somewhat caught in the middle.
Fish says since most of the diary farmers from Cayuga Ingrediants are from Cayhuga County, they are showing far more patience than most companies would.
