43 year old Steven Kelly is accused of alledgedly breaking his way into an off-duty deputy sheriff's house in the middle of the night late Saturday in North Hornell. state Police arrested kelly after he fled the scene.
According to a Steuben County Sheriff's Office news release, When the deputy, who was not identified, answered the door, Kelly acted in a threatening manner. Investigators said the deputy was able to keep Kelly from entering the house and Kelly then drove away. Kelly was turned over to the sheriff's office and charged with second-degree attempted burglary. He was arraigned in Bath Town Court and remanded to Steuben County Jail without bail to await a May 2 court appearance.
