A 27 year old Elmira man was arrested Tuesday, a short time after he allegedly robbed a Five Star Bank branch on North Main Street in the city.
Police say Daniel French was picked up without incident after bank employees were able to provide a detailed description of the suspect. French did not attempt to conceal his identity in the bank.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery and a knife was displayed.
The Star-Gazette reports it's the 3rd time in less than three years this particular bank branch was targeted
