ONTARIO COUNTY RESULTS
Results of Canandaigua City School District Budget Referendum and Board of Education election:
Proposition 1: Canandaigua City School District budget passed 2476 - 1321, 65% yes, (needed only a 50% +1 majority for passage because local tax levy was under cap). Total vote is most ever for Canandaigua schools election. Total vote represents 25% of total registered voters in school district. Budget totals $65.5 million, up 1.49% from current year budget. Local tax levy rises 4.45% under this budget. Projected tax rate is $18.87 per thousand.
Proposition 2: Transportation Purchase approved 2456-1280; maximium cost $359,000. No local tax impact.
Board of Education Election: Two Board members elected to 5-year terms (three candidates):
Joseph Delforte, Jr. - 2272
Michelle Pedzich - 1994
Thomas Tripp - 134
Delforte and Pedzich elected. Delforte wins his 2nd term. Pedzich her first term. Current Board member Donna Cotter did not run for re-election.
Geneva - budget approved, 605-228
Bloomfield: Budget approved, 356-143. Bus proposition passed 332-152. Pamela Nakoski and John Mavromatis re-elected to Board of Education.
Honeoye: Budget approved, 424-174. Keith Stumbo, Grace Simonds and Patrick Freivald elected to board.
Marcus Whitman: Budget approved, 508-128. Library proposition passed. Sheila Brown, Cynthia Hall and Susan Campbell elected to board.
Midlakes: Budget approved, 573-203. Bus and library propositions passed. Scott Mattoon, Ryan Bennett and Laura Cirone elected to board.
Naples: Budget approved, 310-223. Bus proposition approved. Ronald Burke, Joseph Callaghan and Gail Musnicki elected to board.
Red Jacket: Budget approved, 333-123. Edward Clark and Richard Vienna elected to board.
