Man Arrested for DWI After Demolishing Truck

On Monday at 7:30pm Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies along with Richmond Fire and EMS responded to Route 20A east of Huff Rd. in the Town of Richmond, NY for a reported roll-over personal injury MVA.

Upon arriving Deputies discovered 62-year-old Gary M. Brien of Honeoye had  driven his 1999 Ford F-250 off the north side of the roadway and that his vehicle was demolished. Richmond Fire extricated Mr. Brien from his vehicle and quickly transferred him into the Richmond Town Ambulance. Mr, Brien suffered apparent neck and back pain and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in the City of Rochester to be treated. Deputies ultimately determined Mr. Brien to be intoxicated and subsequently arrestd him for DWI. Deputies charged Mr. Brien with DWI and failure to keep right.

Brien will appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date to answer to the charges. Richmond Automotive responded to the scene, removed the vehicle and debris, and towed it to their business location. The Town of West Bloomfield Fire Department also responded and assisted Richmond Fire with the incident. Mr. Brien was in stable condition on Monday night.
