They're a vital part of any organization, especially in hospitals. Finger Lakes Health Community Outreach Coordinator at Finger Lakes Health Christen Smith runs the volunteer program and she says volunteers can help patients and families, work in a gift shop, or they can do something as small as shredding papers.
