Mercy Rehab in Auburn Gets $19.9 Million From Albany

AUBURN -- Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Auburn got some great news on Friday -- $19.9 million in state funding is coming their way.

The grant was announced yesterday by the Cuomo administation, a total of $301 million in grants distributed across the state - but to just 40 hospitals and nursing homes; Mercy, a former hospital, is both a nursing home and a rehabilitation center. No word yet, on how the nearly $20 mllion will be allocated at Mercy.

In a statement, Cuomo said "these grants to hospitals and nursing homes ... will help our health care facilities deliver better quality care in a more efficient and cost-effective manner."
