Auburn Blood Drive Switched Because of Hot Weather

AUBURN -- Today's blood drive in Auburn was switched to a new location, earlier this week, when Executive Director Renee Smith knewcertain this Thursday would be an oppressively hot and humid day. And there's no air conditioning at United Methodist Church, on South Street in Auburn, Smith says, so they switched to a church in downtown Auburn.

The third Thursday of each month, a blood drive is held at United Methodist. Today's drive at the St. Mary's Church goes until five o'clock, and walk-ins are always welcome.
