Former Warden's Home in Auburn Being Auctioned Off

AUBURN -- In Auburn, the South Street home that was one part of the compensation package for the warden at Auburn state prison is going on the auction block today, at noon, in City Hall Chambers. The minimum bid is $125,000.

The residence is the former of home of the Dulles family, two of their sons the major formers of Cold War policy in the United States, under President Dwight Eisenhower -- Secretary of State John Dulles and CIA Director Allen Dulles.

Also being auctioned is the house that was used by the assistant superintendent at Auburn Correctional Facility, a modest home at 5 Harvard Avenue; pictures of that residence are also below.
