AURORA -- Wells College has hired a new person as their director of alumni relations, Laurie Sanders.
Wells' Vice-President for Advancement, Michael McGreevey, said she "...will be largely responsible for initiatives that foster connections and provide services for alumni, along with planning and managing on-and-off-campus events." Sanders's resume includes positions at many other colleges and universities -- including Cornell, Barnard, and Fresno State in California.
In a statement, Sanders said "I really enjoy the spirit of connection between students and graduates. And I plan to further engage current students with alumnae and alumni of Wells in meaningful ways; knowing that in the end the alums will know they gave back to something bigger than just an institution, they helped a student."
Sanders is married, and lives in Groton; she and her husband, Glen, are animal lovers, sharing their home with a cat, dog, and turtle.
