HASTINGS -- The State Police are now investigating a mysterious death in Onondaga River -- a body found in the Oneida River, near the popular Castaways restaurant on Route 37 in the town of Hastings.
The person found is 37-year-old Michael Thompson of Brewerton; his body was discovered at 5:30 yesterday afternoon. Thompson was last seen on Saturday morning, around 3 a.mm., and he was acting very strangely -- knocking on the doors of numerous, and behaving bizarre, according to those who called 9-1-1.
An autopsy is scheduled for today, but results from that autopsy -- and a toxicology report -- will not be known for several days at least.
