The City of Geneva is cracking down on outdoor burning. Fire Chief Mike Combs tells Finger Lakes News Radio with passage of a new city ordinance there can be no more trash or leaf burning. You are basically limited to back yard grills and the like .
They have to be 15 feet away from buildings and combustibles.
Any celebratory or ceremonial fire has to be cleared by the Chief. Violators could get a 250-dollar fine and/or 15 days in jail
