Geneva Ready to Enforce New Outdoor Burn Ban

The City of Geneva is cracking down on outdoor burning.  Fire Chief Mike Combs tells Finger Lakes News Radio with passage of a new city ordinance there can be no more trash or leaf burning. They have to be 15 feet away from buildings and  combustibles.


 




Any celebratory or ceremonial fire has to be cleared by the Chief. Violators could get a 250-dollar fine and/or 15 days in jail
