Cayuga County Sheriff Dave Gould says Governor Cuomo should be congratulated for taking direct against the bath salt epidemic in Central New York . Under Cuomo's orders the State Health Department has issued a 40-plus page set of regulations that makes possession and distribution of the synthetic drugs and their components illegal.
Gould says hospitals upstate have been over run taking care of drug abusers.
Gould says in 43 years in law enforcement he has never seen drugs that make people so violent.
Gould appeared on the Finger Lakes Morning News today.
