Local Leaders Worried About Federal Highway Dollars

County Highway Superintendents from across the state along with vendors and consultants are on a conference call today to discuss Federal Highway funding and how that money should be parcelled out.

Ontario County Public Works Commissioner Bill Wright feels the State DOT will gobble up more of  the money leaving only crumbs for counties.

Local governments in New York own 85% of the roads and 51% of the bridges.
