They will break ground tomorrow (Friday) for the Cadence Square Project at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. Ten million dollars has been set aside to re-model Building 14 and erect a new building next door to house homeless Veterans, who have substance abuse issues.
The Finger Lakes Addictions Counseling and Referral Agency and Cazenovia Recovery Systems are partnering with the VA on the project. FLACRA (FLAC-RA) Executive Director Marty Teller says some of the apartments being planned would be big enough for Vets and their families. Having family around is a big help in the road to recovery.
