Binghamton Police Officer Charged With DWI Resigns

They're supposed to catch others driving while drunk, not do it themselves. A Binghamton Police Officer, 33-year old Christopher Stoeckel, was arrested by Binghamton Police Department last week for DWI shortly after he arrived for work. Stoeckel submitted his resignation Friday morning. He was immediately suspended without pay when he came into work October 16th. An arraignment date has not yet been set.
