New Grimes Glen Bridge To Be Installed This Week

The wooden footbridge is usually the entry point for hikers over the Naples creek in Grimes Glen, but it's been closed off for some time, after Ontario County officials deemed the bridge unsafe. Ontario County Public Works Commissioner Bill Wright says the county got a grant to put in a new bridge.

Folks will be able to safely cross the Naples creek again soon...

He says county public work crews are making good progress on the build.

There will also be murals done by artist Darryl Abraham.

The murals will be placed on each side of the bridge beams, covering the steel structure. The bridge will be opened to the public next Sunday.
